Daiwa (Daiwa) Spinning Reel 17 Theory 2508pe – H (2500) and lube it up every once in a while.

I think Daiwa has outdone Shimano once again with this reel.

I bought the 1500 from amazon a couple of years ago and haven't had any issues with it.

So that puts it roughly equivalent to other popular spinning reels such as the Shimano NASCI and the Penn Battle II.
