The views from the top of Lake Winnipesauke and other mountains are amazing and make the hike well worth it. We had the trail and top pretty much to ourselves before 9am. Had to take a few breathers here and there, but the trail has some milder sections that allow you to catch your breath. The downside is the trail near popular vacation destination, and really crowded during weekend. Did see someone slip on the way up, so bring proper gear. It's steep at some points but probably easier then the blue trail. Major Parking Lot. It was strenuous at points and when I reached the summit I was dripping in sweat! The Brook Trail (Class 1) is very gradual trail and is 2.3 miles one way with 1100 foot elevation gain. This summit has some of the best views in the lakes region.
