There are several real restrooms along the trail. A lot of sandy sections.Nice trail overall. (Hiked April/2015)Not my favorite trail, but still nice. Well suited for leisure walking.

Hikers should proceed straight ahead at this junction.At roughly 1.8 miles hikers will arrive at the St. Mary Falls Cutoff Trail, which leads up to the St. Mary Falls Shuttle Stop.

How fun to walk thru the woods with Lake Superior on both sides of you. According to the park signboard at the trailhead, this hike is also referred to as the âThree Falls Trailâ.From the parking area the Sun Point Nature Trail almost immediately begins to descend towards St. Mary Lake, and almost immediately youâll begin to enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the mountains looming above it towards the west.
