Good clean hotel, it’s brand new, and currently only about 50% capacity. It’s also the first physically separated from the rest of Universal, being located on the former Wet ‘n Wild site at the corner of I-Drive and Universal Boulevard.
Plus, it’s a quick hop from Universal’s hotels to the parks with free shuttles. I’d rather eat at the cabana bay resort. Overall, the experience was satisfactory but not likely I'd stay again.Thank you for your review. They have a very nice and large pool with lifeguards on staff, a weight room/gym, a nice buffet, Starbucks, and a gift shop that has many of the things you can get from the park. Breeze into one of the Universal parks an hour earlier than other guests with Early Park Admission*. You have a shuttle each day taking you to the parks. Early Park Admission begins one (1) hour prior to regularly scheduled park opening to either Universal Studios Florida or Universal’s Islands of Adventure as determined by Universal Orlando, and Universal’s Volcano Bay. The feeling here is relaxed and easy, with a fun surf vibe woven throughout. However the cafe food is not so good. We weren't sure if we would be able to fully enjoy the parks and resort during this pandemic but they figured out a way to keep their guests reasonably and practically safe without being over bearing and intrusive. Surf's up! When I told staff they gave me fresh but otherwise did not care!!!! Room types may vary.Very clean. The room was spartan and did not include a microwave oven but did have a mini-fridge and small room safe.
